Without faith a man can do nothing; with it all things are possible. ~ Sir William Osler.
Have you ever known anyone who did what they thought was impossible? I’d say that would be a resounding no.
Other people might have told them it was impossible, but they didn’t believe it. We first have to be convinced that something can be done. If you say it can’t be done…you’ll be proven right.
Speaking of right, the Wright Brothers weren’t the first to believe they could fly…but they were the first to do it…and live to tell the tale. They must have been pretty convinced it was possible. They had faith.
Alexander Graham Bell wasn’t alone in his belief in the telephone…but he had to win a court case, so he could claim first dibs. Would he have invested his time for six or so years if he wasn’t convinced it could be done? He had to have faith.
I don’t know about you, but I’m not the greatest inventor in the world. Well unless you count continuing to reinvent myself . Not to say I’m unhappy with who and where I am, but I liken it to divine discontent. Grateful for what I have and desiring to continually grow.
But what is possible for me…or you? First you gotta have faith.
“The power of imagination makes us infinite.” ~John Muir
That means we can make the impossible (to others) possible. That also means we need faith.
We can experience anything…and I mean anything our little hearts desire. But first we have to have the conviction that we can.
We gotta have faith. We need to believe in the existence of what we desire or it won’t materialize in our world. Anything we put into our imagination and water with faith and persistence will come to pass.
Faith is a powerful vibration of energy that produces insights and ideas on which we can act.
Faith attracts to us all we need to manifest our desires. It has the wisdom of intuition drawing on the higher spiritual laws.
With faith we come to see the beauty and harmony of this most amazing system we call life and how cause and effect come together to produce the fulfillment of our desires.
With faith we are all inventors, believing into being our entire life experiences through our thoughts, feelings and all we assume and accept to be true.
I have faith that there is a higher power operating in my life, whether I call it God, the universe, or the divine mystery. Without it I could do nothing, I could change nothing. All would remain the same.
Faith isn’t handed to us on a platter, it must be created and developed within, individually. It must be your own faith to be true and authentic, not a hand me down. It must be your faith that is tested and found worthy and then you can do and be and have what another would say was impossible.
We all have the opportunity to be the greatest inventors of all…producing the best life we possibly can imagine. I’m on board…are you? But we gotta have faith.
Encourage one another.
Love Elle.

Another great post, Elle. We seem to be sharing thoughts again!
How does that happen Steven? 🙂
Hi Elle,
Faith is something crucial in life. Without faith, we can’t go on. Thanks for sharing Elle and thanks for the reminder 😉
thanks, Elle.
Elle,
I love the idea that we can all be the greatest inventors. Learning use visualization and creativity isn’t just for the gifted. It’s a skill to be learned if we allow ourselves to think big and expand what we believe is possible. A very important message! I’m actually working on a post right now about creativity so thanks for the inspiration!
