If you woke up this morning feeling down, blah, glum, blue, dismal, low, dejected, cranky, or gloomy…there’s a silver lining in that cloud.
Why do we feel the way we feel? Because of the vibration we’re in. We use the word ‘feeling’ to describe our conscious awareness of whatever vibration we’re currently operating from.
Knowing how we feel is a necessary step to raising our awareness, because the secret to how we achieve our goals, the way we enjoy greater success, happier relationships or more money, lies in the level of awareness we’re operating from.
Without awareness we have no power to choose, to respond, to change.
Stop living life the wrong way round
We’ve all learned to live life through our senses, sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste. We look at our bank statement and can see the state of our finances. We toddle off to the doctor’s office and he tells us all about our physical health.
Heck it even starts as little nippers. The kids recently got report cards and they’re in kindergarten and first grade. Really? What can you report about a four and six year old? Just that at a moment in time, this is their proficiency level.
The report can’t and doesn’t say anything about the potential they have or what they’re capable of accomplishing in life.
But, if allowed to, these report cards, and the ones that follow can begin to dictate who these kids are, and these ideas begin to form the view they have of themselves and these are the views that are going to control their life.
We get to experience everything that’s in our consciousness.
You must develop your awareness if you want to start taking control of your life
Our multitude of thought habits have a way of keeping us stuck in the same old place. But it doesn’t have to be like this.
We have amazing minds. If we tune into our awareness faculties and develop them we can accomplish incredible things.
Begin by choosing your thoughts…you can think anything you want. Remember when I wrote about Victor Frankl he basically said regardless of the amount of abuse and mistreatment he had to suffer, no one could make him think thoughts he didn’t want to think.
Take a look at your current results and you’ll know what you’ve been thinking about lately. Do changes need to be made? Only you can answer that.
Don’t let whatever’s going on outside control what’s going on within.
The whole universe operates by law, use it for your benefit
The scientist Wernher Von Braun told us that the natural laws of the universe were so precise that man can fly to the moon and time the flight with precision.
We’re operating universal laws in our every day life. And they’re just as precise as the physical laws.
Practice using your inner faculties of will, perception, intuition and imagination for 90 days and you’ve moved from experiencing life as it shows up, to experiencing life as you want it to show up.
Using just three of our inner faculties, you’ll soon see why awareness should be your new best friend.
Will
Use your will to focus on what you want. We’re constantly picking up information from the outside and our mind is filled with more thoughts than you can shake a stick at. With a highly evolved will, you can choose what to think, create a mental image and then focus on that image.
The more we practice this, the more we make things happen. We can be like Napoleon who used to say, I see only the objective, the obstacles have to give way.
Intuition
Have you ever picked up other people’s vibrations?
Who hasn’t had the experience of asking someone what was wrong before they said a word. We know when something’s upsetting our partner or our friend without even asking, because we’re all vibrational beings and we can intuitively ‘feel’ the vibration they occupy.
As they alter the images they’ve been holding in mind their vibration will change and our intuition will pick up the signals that all is back to normal.
I was in Canada at my niece’s wedding and I knew I had to head home. So I left earlier than intended and arrived home to find my husband was really ill. It was discovered later he had cancer. My intuition had picked up his vibration from way across the pond, despite the fact that when I spoke to him on the phone he insisted everything was fine.
I’m glad I listened to my intuition.
Develop your intuition and you can reach a phenomenal level of awareness. If you’re interested in knowing more head over to Angela Artemis site…she has great stuff on the intuition factor.
Imagination
Imagination has been called the most miraculous, powerful energy of all. We can build anything in our imagination…it’s the jumping off point for creation. Wherever we go in our imagination, we must physically follow. It’s one of the principles of universal law.
[success]Determined imagination, thinking from the end, is the beginning of all miracles. ~ Neville[/success]Nothing can stop you when you call into action the power of your imagination. It creates the ways and means and helps you grow yourself out of all limitations.
Ask yourself how do I really want to live? Your imagination can take you there.
Our biggest challenge is that our current self concept, our current paradigm tells us we can’t do this. And heck if we’re not stopped dead in our tracks.
Become a master of your destiny
Stop choosing your dreams based on what you think you can do. You’re limiting yourself to past experiences and allowing your conscious mind/ego to decide for you. We need to be going after what we want…and no we don’t have to know how to do it, get it, or be it.
What we continually hold in mind eventually becomes our reality. Our blossoming awareness of the spirit of abundance, of opulence, of greatness and all the wonderful things life has to offer, means we’ll experience more of the same.
It’s time to stop seeing ourselves as poor, as lacking, as sick, as anything other than what we want. And when our vision of who we are is greater than those voices that clamour to remind us of what we can’t do or become, we’ve reached a new and greater level of awareness and come closer to being masters of our destiny.
The expansion of your conscious awareness is the reason for goals and lofty dreams…they’re necessary to bring more of you to the surface
It isn’t getting the job, the house, the relationship, the car, or the money that matters. With increased levels of awareness comes greater ease and grace, greater insight and perspective, greater vitality and courage to deal with any problems that come our way. In other words, a greater us. That’s the whole point, the purpose of it all.
Take a conscious look at your life and ask yourself how do you really want to live? You’re capable of doing anything you want if you embrace the power of awareness as your new best friend.
We’d love to hear in the comments below what you’ve been aware of lately? Are you heading towards that life you want to live? What are you aware of in your world?
Your particular point of view or insight could well be the words someone in our global community needed to hear today.
Encourage one another.
Love Elle.
HI Elle – yes!! Awareness is such an important first step to understanding ourselves and then choosing our destiny. We can use our will, imagination and intuition but we won’t have any idea how to use it well unless we have a better idea of our thoughts and feelings. We need to know where we are before we know where we can go 🙂
I’m becoming more aware of doing work that matters to me and what skills, job duties I excel at am drawn to. I’m more aware of how I spend my time so I can say ‘no’ more often to what doesn’t fulfill my purpose. And I’m more aware of my perceptions of other people so I’m not quick to judge or perceive.
By being more aware and striving for inner-awareness, we can truly mold our lives into the ones we want.
I like that Vishnu…we need to know where we are before we know where we can go. Isn’t that the truth. I think you’re a bit ahead of me in the awareness stakes…I still have my moments. 🙂
Lately, I’ve been aware of necessity of lifestyle integration; that I cannot allow one aspect of my life compete with another. In order to find success all pieces and parts of my life must operate in synergy – not as opposing forces! Love your blog – and this post is beautiful!
Welcome to the conversation MelAnn, I enjoyed your perspective on the synergy in life…and thank you for your oh so kind comments. 🙂
Great Article! Great detail and very interesting suggestions on how to implement all the steps.
Welcome to the conversation MA and I’m truly happy you enjoyed the post. 🙂
Oh yes to be aware, I wrote about that recently in relation to the words we speak and the thoughts you think. As Frankel says we have a choice .
I know that trusting and developing my intuition have been my focus these last month or so . So important
Love your post and the blog
Namaste
Suzie
Hi Suzie, lovely to have your insights and I’m with you on the developing my intuition too. Used to be that it just popped up now and then, but either it’s getting louder or I’m doing a better job of listening. 🙂
You are doing a better job of listening and allowing the messages to come through- are you meditating and journaling more? Just recognising the same- I think I am also asking better questions 🙂
Great questions Suzie…I am meditating more. Journaling hasn’t ever really been my thing. I’m more likely to write some phrase, such as “the consciousness and power that created the universe lives in me”and then invest some time contemplating that. Then I write ideas and concepts that come into my mind. But that’s been put on the back burner lately! 🙂 Might be time to resurrect it…I always found it to be such a peaceful process. 🙂
I have a great deal of will, pretty good intuition, but have to work on developing my imagination. Thank you for another wonderful post Elle.

Funny how we’re all developing along similar lines…some areas more gracefully than others in my world. Thanks for stopping by Dan, always good to see you. 🙂
Elle,
Wonderful post! You always inspire me!
I couldn’t agree more about report cards for young kids. At our preschool, we do an assessment that is not a comparison to any kids just where they are at this moment in life.
xoxo
Betsy
I’m happy you enjoyed it Betsy. Don’t you think we often write about things we need reminders of ourselves? It’s a win/win for me and the icing on the cake are the wonderful insights and perspectives I get to read in the comments section. Like this one. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could teach our kids at school that they way they think and feel will make a difference in the life they lead? As a preschool teacher, what do you think? 🙂
Well done, you ! I was thinking just today that some very soon day I would be looking back with loving amusement at my curent “struggles”. And it came to me how difficult we can make things for ourselves by not choosing our thoughts/moods/outcomes. As you put it so well, indeed we are “masters of our own destinies”. Our greatest moments are before us, if only we have the faith to allow it to be so. Thank you for another great article.
Write on, Elle !
Thanks for your always useful insights Joseph. I didn’t mention faith…but I should have. You’re right when you say we need faith to allow it to be. 🙂
Hi Elle,
Love this line – “And when our vision of who we are is greater than those voices that clamour to remind us of what we can’t do or become, we’ve reached a new and greater level of awareness and come closer to being masters of our destiny.” I’m also more aware of doing the work that I care about and surrounding myself with people that I love. Becoming aware of ourselves gives us the power to be in charge of our lives and not be driven by others. Amazing as always! xo, Cathy
Dear Elle,
I have a strong commitment to awareness too for all the reasons you unfold in this article. That’s such a powerful story about intuition. One of my aspirations is to allow my intuition to flow.
You and your site look so beautiful!
Welcome to the conversation Sandra…it’s amazing how our level of awareness seems to correlate with our level of joy and I’m with you on the intuition factor…it’s on ongoing practice for me. 🙂
Dear Elle,
What a magnificent post. Awareness sounds so simple yet most of us live on autopilot unaware of our emotions and how they dictate our reactions. I have found that I am most conscious and aware when I choose to be the observer. It allows me to take a step back and truly see a situation for what it is rather than how it is affecting me. Thank you for linking to me and bringing to light this very important concept.
Thank you Angela and thanks for stopping by…your insights on intuition always lead me further along the path to allowing intuition to flow more strongly and deeply. And boy, doesn’t that make life easier. 🙂
Hi Elle
The Law Of Attraction, as we understand it, has been around since millennia ,it has made many and catapulted many to meteoric heights. It is quite interesting to note that we all end up subscribing to the Law of Attraction without even realising it.
However very few know that it is not just one law that comprises the LOA as we understand it.There is more than one law.All of them critical to each other’s effect. The whole is greater than sum of the parts here. But if you don’t have all the parts then your application of the Law will also be partial at most. You want to have all the parts. All parts ,in this case, refer to a total of eleven different laws governing the universal attractor called LOA. Its worth finding out and unveiling these truths for ourselves.
Mona
I so agree with you Mona. And you’ll see I wrote about the 11 laws here in a post called How to live a life of promise and possibility.
It’s so good to have you share your insights and perspective…thank you for taking the time to stop by we appreciate you. 🙂
Hi Elle, a great article identifying the power of thought and how it creates our world. We are so much more than who we think we are. And yes I can relate to the report cards, our culture wants to label and categorize from a very early age.
Thanks for stopping by Karen…isn’t that the truth we ARE so much more than we think we are…if only we could always remember this and act as though this were true, we’d all lead incredible lives. 🙂
Hi Elle,
This was an excellent article on the importance of increasing our awareness and how it can help us in life.
Your point about kids and the report cards they get really struck a chord with me. I know from my own experiences that some of the contents of the reports I got when I was a kid, ended up defining some of my characteristics into adulthood, until I decided to change core beliefs about myself. I read an article recently on the BBC website that an initiative may be implemented in schools to teach kids about mental health. I’m hoping this would include some basic teaching into thoughts, what they mean and how they can be changed.
Thank you.
Interesting Hiten how that report card thing affected so many of us…and kudos to you for choosing new beliefs. I haven’t heard about the school initiative, but like the idea a lot and I’m definitely on board with having our kids be more aware of the impact thoughts have on our life. 🙂
