Want to Think Better? Try These Tips on Clear Thinking

Andy Andrews, an American Author said:

“In desperate times, much more than anything else, we all need perspective. For perspective brings calm. Calm leads to clear thinking. Clear Thinking yields new ideas. And ideas produce the bloom of an answer. Keep your head and heart clear; perspective can just as easily be lost as it can be found”.

Have you clouded your mind with negative thoughts, fear, and doubt until you’ve lost all perspective?

Are you at the point of throwing in the towel in frustration and disappointment, all because of the chaos of lack clarity?

If this might be you, hopefully I have a solution for you.

So read, enjoy, and then remember to act on it! That’s the point where so many people stop. And that’s why so many are on a path to nowhere.

A clear mind will support you in achieving your dreams and we all would like that I know.

But in order to accomplish this, we need our vibration of energy to be used towards our aim and not expended on unproductive things.

You know the kinds of things that lead us to worry and feel overwhelmed.

Research tells us that the brain consumes a large percentage of the body’s energy during active periods…so it makes perfect sense that we need to have a clear mind.

Clear thinking is the way to go so we aren’t wasting brain energy. With an added bonus of helping maintaining an efficient metabolism.

You might not have though about this, but having an efficient metabolism is a crucial element of achieving longevity, we all want the time to fulfill our dreams.  Not to mention living a long, happy life!

Overthinking, worry, and anxiety, on the other hand, though often inevitable are simply unproductive, big-time energy wasters.

Here comes the challenging bit.

When we’re at the point of making crucial decisions for life, like achieving a dream, vision, or goal, we often find ourselves stuck in an endless circle of negative thoughts, unable to get anything done.

And where does that get us.  Nowhere good.  It often leads to confusion, frustration, and even, zero achievements.

Sound familiar?   It should.  It’s the truth for many of us.

So faced with these odds, how can you be expected to achieve your dreams?

How do you find the courage to build new perspectives to help achieve your goals?

And most importantly, how can you use clear thinking to accomplish more of what you want everyday?  Here’s some ideas to help you plan your course.

1. Spend some time alone to achieve clear thinking

Thomas A. Edison once said;

“To do much clear thinking, a person must arrange for regular periods of solitude where they can concentrate and indulge the imagination without distraction.”

We all need moments of solitude.

You can see it as an escape from your busy schedules and side distractions.

A place where you can clear your mind of all fear and doubt, it could be a beach or a rooftop, wherever you choose,  as long as you are alone and free from the tension and pressure life brings.

Here you would get the chance to see the big picture of what you wish to achieve and how you can bring your dreams to reality.

Sometimes all you need to do is lean back to see clearly what’s right in front of you.

So lean back and dream, there are no limitations as to how far your imaginations goes.

2. Have a clear intent or purpose

Oscar Wilde said, “Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else’s opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.” I totally agree with Oscar.

Most people get easily distracted in life when they’re trying to imitate other people’s way of doing things.

And for the record, just because someone else is doing something and is successful at it doesn’t mean it will work in the same way for you or that you should lose focus on your own purpose.

Please, oh please, don’t confuse modeling with being competitive.

Sure, you can model other successful people’s strategies to forge your own unique path in life.

What you don’t want to being doing is competing with them. The only person you should compete with is yourself, to be better than who you were yesterday.

Clear thinking can help you identify that which you really want by answering some critical questions genuinely;

What do I want in life

What is my passion?

What do I need to achieve those things?

Knowing precisely what you want to achieve is where your success begins.

3. Make plans and act on them

What use is a plan if it never executed?

Most people have ideas and strategies of how to fulfill their goal, but they never do because they keep going over these ideas in their minds again and again.

Doing this will never get you to where you want to be; it only creates lack of direction and focus.

Acting on your plans closes the door to fear and doubt and helps you to dare and challenge yourself more.

Clear thinking will help you create ideas and make plans. It will also build within you the courage to act on them.

If you have a plan already, put aside your doubts today and act.

How would you know if it works or not unless you try?

Remember these words. The more you fail and recover and improve, the better you are as a person.

So keep your hope and faith alive, you are capable of more than you know and that dream of yours can be a reality.

Just think clearly and act!
