Don’t Let These Two Common Mistakes Steal Your Dreams And Happiness

Today seems like a good day to make sure you don’t let these two common mistakes steal your dreams and happiness.

There are two common mistakes I’ve made more often than I care to remember.  And they have negatively affected the time it has taken to manifest many of my desires in life.

There’s an old saying that nothing succeeds like success and it’s true.

Success like everything else in our world has a vibration. A magnetic frequency that can keep drawing more of the things that lead us towards greater happiness, fulfillment, self-improvement and self-awakening in life.

Which to me are the markers of the best success stories of all.

And if you take fully on board what I cover in this article you are likely to know greater success in  whatever your definition of success might be.

Before we get to how to make sure youdon’t let these two common mistakes steal your dreams and happiness, let’s take a deeper look at how life works.

Life works life this

If you’re struggling to experience success in the form you choose, or if you have a hard time manifesting your desires in a timely fashion, don’t give up. Practice focusing on the good.

There tends to be something good, somewhere, in most things. And those who can find the good in a situation find themselves with more things to celebrate.

Those who can find things to appreciate in life will have a lot more things to appreciate. Life works like this. As I say everything has an energetic vibration and life works on energy.

Why isn’t it a no-brainer?

What you focus your attention and energy into every day determines the experiences you have in life.

Of course some things can happen that are outside our control, but accepting that, managing that, and not fighting against it produces a better outcome.

Remember,  try and find the good.

And more…be present for those successful happy moments. You’d think that would be a no-brainer wouldn’t you. But often it’s not.

And that’s why our world doesn’t change much or stay changed.

Reality generators

Being present to successful, happy moments makes a huge difference in your life. It indicates that you’re staying connected to the creative power within, which is one of the most effective ways to ensure change is not only possible, but lasting.

And this brings to mind the importance of our thoughts and feelings. They matter. They always matter. There’s never a time they don’t matter. Because they are operating your energy patterns, which are drawing towards you the events and experiences of life.

The good news about this is that life too reflects back to you the thoughts and feelings that have created all that is happening in your world right now. Which gives you the opportunity to evaluate what is happening within so you can change what is experienced without.

My world is created by my thoughts and feelings and your world is created by yours.

We are basically reality generators.

How to stop being an unwitting partner

As  you  moderate your thoughts and feelings you are able to generate the life reality you’d like to live. The dreams and happiness you desire merely await to be brought into your reality by you.

No outside sources bring them to you. No outside sources steal them away. Only you are the arbiter of your fate. Of the events and experiences you encounter in life.

Even so, the two common mistakes I alluded to before can dash your hopes and dreams and happiness.

They’re really simple and easy things to pay attention to, but for the most part we forget most of the time! You can count me among those who have forgotten more often than I would like.

The two are recognition and appreciation. –  I did say they were simple.

You can make sure youdon’t let these two common mistakes steal your dreams and happiness by:

Celebrating your successes

I’m not kidding. Each time you have a success, regardless of whether it’s connected to the thing you would like to have or be right now, celebrate it.

Recognize and appreciate every success as its comes. Whatever they may be.

I’ve been known to appreciate and celebrate the fact that I got through the day. Believe me there have been days when that was quite a feat!

Far too many people don’t even think to celebrate and appreciate their successes, even letting them slip by virtually unnoticed, diluting all the energy of success they have just experienced.

Not the best plan in the world.

Recognizing, appreciating and yes celebrating every success you have and feeling the joy and happiness of it, is life affirming.

We have a celebratory dance we do. Something silly. But it’s our way of saying we are aware of and celebrate that this was a success in our life.

It’s a powerful message to your subconscious that you are appreciative of your ability to work with it to create and manifest your desires.

Dr Joe Dispenza says this:

If you can begin revisiting your successes—and thus remind yourself of them on a daily basis—you’re firing and wiring new circuits in your brain, while at the same time continuously laying down new neural pathways that allow you to become more and more familiar with repeating the act the next time. Done properly, you’re practicing staying conscious and awake instead of unconscious and stressed.

Not rushing and not ignoring

Each time you ignore a success in life, your conscious and subconscious, which are the powers behind the throne of any experience manifested in life, are receiving a message that success doesn’t matter to you.

And maybe there are all kinds of successes that you don’t care about. But there are certain successes you truly do want to experience. It really doesn’t matter what they are – they are all vibration and energy.

Try this right now. Close your eyes and feel grateful for something. Whatever you can conjure up. Next move onto feeling anxious or unhappy. I bet you can feel the  very different energetic vibrations between the two, which, as I’m sure you know will create two very different life experiences.

Some research that suggests positive emotions like appreciation and gratitude can affect your physical and emotional health.  And I don’t doubt this for a minute.

Appreciation like gratitude has a beneficial effect on your life. I know that has been true for me.

Remember to recognize and appreciate, not ignore your successes, even the tiniest ones count.

Don’t be in such a hurry to move on to the next thing in life, because you are in a rush to fulfill the next desire you want to fulfill.

If you simply give each success a little recognition and appreciation it becomes an easier proposition to have your next desire realized because now it’s infused with the energy of your previous success.

Practice this and you’ll soon discover the wonder of  living in the magical energy of success in whatever area of life you choose, be it health, financial or romantic affairs, personal growth or spiritual expansion. Whatever matters to you.

Using your inner editor

I’ve written about editing our stories before. But it bears repeating.

There isn’t a narrative that’s more powerful in who we become and what we do. The more we repeat something the more we embody it. Those stories must and do become our reality.

When I was a kid I had difficulties with fractions.

My teacher told me math just wasn’t my subject. I heard her tell me that I was a bit dim!

Of course no-one knew at that point that I had a mild case of numerical dislexia.

The fact that we all get told many things about ourselves is one thing, but repeating them some thirty years later is another.

And that was me. Until I recognized it and began to change it, by giving my inner editor a new job. Editing as many of my stories around lack and limitation as I could, and replacing them with new, more positive ones.

These days, I have to laugh at myself and my self-limiting stories because now I’m the budgeter in the family…and I love it. I even manage most appearances of numerical dyslexia more easily. It’s a brilliant thing that has appeared in my outer reality. All because I became aware of, and switched up my inner reality.

How it happened for me and will do the same for you

The thing of it is, as you change your consciousness around things, you are led to the physical concrete experiences that support your new state.

I was led to a budgeting program that was easy for me to learn and practice. Something that in the past I would have never noticed. How could I, managing figures just wasn’t part of my consciousness. And we can’t see what isn’t in our consciousness, however long an opportunity has been there and available to us.

As you put your inner editor to work on your behalf you’ll be getting your conscious and subconscious mind to work together in creating a whole new life for yourself. Believe me if I did this with reference to numbers and math, which used to be a huge impossible thing in my life, you can do the same with things that you find huge in your life.

Realistically speaking

These two common mistakes may not be something you can eliminate right away, and even if you do, there will be times when you’ll slip back into the old habits of the past. And yes, I speak from experience!

But I would encourage you to begin to practice changing your energy. Take a pause out of the day, take a deep breath and deliberately change your energy. This is particularly helpful when you recognize the energy you’re currently occupying won’t lead to anywhere other than old experiences.

The key is to make things easy on yourself. You don’t have to take one giant courageous leap. If that were the case, the only people who could change their lives would be the bravest among us, and that’s simply not the truth.

Even if you only do this once a day, celebrate the victory. You deserve a pat on the back.

May you never forget you are amazing.

Encourage one another.

I like the term you use “reality generator. Our brains filter everything through a subconscious filter. Consciously editing this filter, “our story” as you call it, is the power we all have to change our lives…and, in time, our physical brain form and function. Thank you for the reminder.
