“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
A few teeny tips for lovely living…
courtesy of my mum and grandma.
Never give your power away to another.
Surround yourself with positive, productive people, who support your expansion.
There’s a technique that is perfect for you to live more consciously, find it, then use it, repeatedly.
Find things that inspire you.
Extend all the care and kindness you can muster.
Listen more, really listen and speak less.
Be willing to give up you who you were for who you’re becoming. You can’t be both.
Pay attention to your moods,
Be optimistic.
Think the best, most noble thoughts you possibly can.
Immerse yourself in something inspirational every day, the arts, spirituality, nature…whatever moves you.
Claim you are exactly who you want to be.
Never hold on to a feeling which doesn’t contribute to your happiness.
Accept every good thing someone says to you.
Love yourself, your world and everyone in it.
Have a soft heart and a resolute mind.
Whatever you can imagine, you can realize.
The hardest lesson to learn is that no circumstance or person appears in our life unless we have drawn them there.
Using universal laws to lead a lovely life isn’t a philosophy, it’s a practice. Every state of our progress is made through the exercise of our imagination and feeling. If we can create a mental ‘ideal’ we can feel ourselves into this ‘ideal image’ until we become one with it, absorbing its qualities into our being. Make results or accomplishments the crucial test of living a lovely life; you’ll be ever more determined to fill your images with love.
Remember to encourage one another.
Love Elle.

Elle,
I love it! There are so many nuggets of wisdom in this post! I connect with the idea of finding inspiration and positivity every day. This is so important as we can be surrounded by negative messages if we aren’t intentional about it. I also try to let go of painful feelings when they no longer serve a helpful purpose.
Thanks Joe, I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. I agree, it’s good to let go of feelings that aren’t positive or productive. And then we’re making room for our happier thoughts. ☺
“it isn’t a philosophy – it’s a practice”, well remembered and well reminded! I am reluctant to be so redundant BUT once again your article is overflowing with wonderful fuel for thought. Thank you.
Write on, Elle !
As always Joseph…you make my day.☺
The hardest lesson to learn is that no circumstance or person appears in our life unless we have drawn them there.
Oh Yeah! I have some wonderful people in my life. Send me more Universe!
That’s a wonderful reflection of your state of consciousness Tess.☺
Makes sense to me…live it, love it!
Thankyou
be good to yourself

So many great nuggets here, Elle! Wow!
I love them all, but these especially spoke to me:
Be willing to give up you who you were for who you’re becoming. You can’t be both.
Surround yourself with positive, productive people, who support your expansion.
Beautiful, inspiring post.
Thank you Jodi, I truly appreciate your comments.♥
We can never be reminded too much that doing is so much more important than knowing. All our philosophy is words unless it can be used to improve our world and life.
Well said Dore. It need to be a practice, not just a philosophy.
