Every great dream begins with a dreamer.  Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world. – Harriet Tubman

I’m a big believer in dreams.  In fact the bigger and greater the dream the better.  It isn’t always a helpful trait.  Sitting in a classroom one day gazing dreamily out of the window, a rather large blackboard eraser whistled past my ear.  True story.  It did miss me which was probably great for the teacher and my head.  I lived to dream another day and in honour of all dreamers…big and small…here’s some great quotes.  Enjoy.

“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he had imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”
— Henry David Thoreau

Cherry Blossom Trees

“You see things; and you say, ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were; and I say, ‘Why not?'”
— George Bernard Shaw

Sankthans in Mandal

“Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so you shall become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil.”
— James Allen

“Hold fast to dreams…for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.”
— Langston Hughes

Birds Flying

“Mankind’s greatest problem is our inability to recognize the dignity of our being and the beauty of our dreams.”
— Grady L. Dobbs

time is on my side

This song has always touched my dreamers heart.

Encourage each other.

I thought that the 3rd photo from the top looked a little Norwegian and so it was, the next one down also but can’t confirm it! Good taste in images.

Isn’t it wonderful that so many people are willing to share their photos. I’m in awe of the generosity of others. I’m willing to share mine…but no-one has wanted them yet. Hmm I wonder why that is?????? –))

If you click on the links at the bottom of the post Brian, it should take you to where the photo came from. I know I’m repeating myself, but I can’t say it often enough…I’m so grateful to those photographers who are willing to share their great pics.

  2. When I was a little girl I thought dreams are the things which are unreachable. I was growing up under the communism, we were “programmed” to suppressed our dreams. Somehow someway everybody was dreaming, but usually dreams stayed only dreams, nobody talked about them…Why? Not because those dreams were too big, they were “just” dreams…took me so many years to understand how important to believe in my dreams, to feel my dreams, have a vision of my dreams, imagine regularly and not to care what other people think about my dreams. These days I call my dreams goals and I know that everything is possible, if I believe it so…I`m about to create a beautiful life…
    Thank you so much Elle,
    With love…E 🙂
