[success]It is a terrible thing to see and have no vision. ~ Helen Keller[/success] What was your vision for the day?  Did you decide beforehand you you’d feel when the day was over? Were you following your dreams? Did you ask yourself what you wanted to do, or what you needed to do?  And did you choose? Anything. Or did you wander from task to task, putting some off here, or wanting to get another just perfect? Did you have any sense of purpose today? I know I fall short here…more often than I care to admit. Working on it. I mean well, but there are times when my follow through is less than stellar. Two things stand in my way.  Even though I’ve begun to imagine it being other than this in my life, the reality hasn’t yet caught up with how it’s working out in my mind’s eye. So…

[success]Comfort zones are most often expanded through discomfort. ~ Peter McWilliams[/success] Have ever found yourself in a state of discomfort? I’m not talking about physical discomfort, more the kind that swells from deep within and reaches into every aspect of your life.  Where you feel odd.  You’re not yourself.  You feel squiggly.  Something doesn’t fit.  You don’t feel like you. Have you ever been there and wondered what the heck…or words even stronger.  Not being a cursing woman myself I don’t quite have the vocabulary.  Not that I’ve anything against cursing…it sounds great coming from someone else.  But for some reason any time I’ve tried it, people snort with laughter, apparently it doesn’t sound right. Oh well. It lasted two weeks.  Not the cursing state, the state of discomfort. It didn’t even begin slowly.  It just arrived one day. At first I didn’t know what was happening.  I wasn’t depressed,…

[success]Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy. ~ Norman Vincent Peale[/success] Have you ever noticed how everyone else is pretty blooming marvellous at what they do? If you’re a songwriter or a poet, there’s that other person who writes oh so much better than you?  Same could be said if you’re a blogger of course.  Or what about that entrepreneur.  Wow, they entrepreneur so much better than you don’t they?  No corrections needed on my English thank you. Be you a butcher, baker or candlestick maker I bet you know someone who does it soooo much greater, bigger, grander, and yes…better. But I’m going to let you into a little known secret. They probably think the very same thing about you.  That’s right…you. It’s the easiest thing in the world for us to…

[success]A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him. ~ David Brinkley[/success] Once a week I have to jab myself with a needle.  To put it more politely.  I give myself a shot. Nothing horribly serious…the fickle finger of fate just at work and I don’t absorb B12 very well…all right not at all. And okay, we all know that fate had absolutely nothing to do with it, fickle or otherwise…but boy I liked that phrase and I was going to use it come hell or high water. Once we knew about the deficiency, and I began jabbing myself regularly, the fogginess of thought and all the things that went along with it, virtually disappeared.  Notice I said virtually, just in case ‘you-know-who’ is reading this and decides to leave some funny comment on my thinking capabilities. Poised with needle…

Do you wish for kindness? Be kind. Do you ask for truth? Be true. What you give of yourself you find; Your world is a reflex of you. ~ James Allen We either love or hate the Oscars.  But, you won’t hear me dissing them…there are some seriously beautiful people in seriously beautiful dresses.  I’m a sucker for those dresses, and I get to see George Clooney, definitely worth watching, and a glimpse of Hugh Jackman, ever the gentleman, rushing the rescue of a young damsel in distress, as Jennifer Lawrence tripped up the stairs ever so slightly. I have my shallow side. The Oscars and the laws of life In case you were wondering, yes I did watch the whole darn thing, and being in the realm of movies and projections took me right back to how the laws of life work. Sorry, I can’t help it…it’s my natural state, taking everything…
