I’m pretty good at using these laws of life, I managed to manifest a blooming mess throughout my life, using them in the negative.  But hey, since I know I’m good at it, why aren’t I using them to manifest better things?   This is what my friend asked me yesterday as we had a nice cup of tea together.  He can be pretty hard on himself as so many of us can when faced with all the ‘stuff’ we don’t like about our life or ourselves.   But it’s not helpful.  How many times have you been successful in beating yourself up about something and found wonderful changes taking place?  Hmmm, just a guess…never. We can’t fight negativity with more negativity, it’s like sitting without the light on, in the dark, making it darker still and then wondering why there’s no light.  Pushing against what we don’t like just…

I’m very picky about what happens on this Blog – you knew that.  Right?  And today I’m really blessed to have as my guest Alisa Bowman.   Alisa is brilliant, funny and generous.  Want to know more? You’ll find it below. Lately whenever I commit an Act of Negativity—say I lock the puppy in her crate because she just chewed my favorite pair of shoes—my kid quietly commentates, “That wasn’t very Buddhist, Mommy.” She says this whenever I grumble about other drivers, become impatient while standing in line, or say something nasty about a certain politician. She finds at least one opportunity a day to admonish me. It’s humbling, but also beautiful. After all, not only does her comment remind me of my personal goals, it also brings a smile to my face, forcing me to laugh and admit, “You’re right. That wasn’t very Buddhist at all!” I’m going to…

Allow yourself To believe that all things are possible for you.  Not a few things, not some things…but all things. To dream big dreams and let all your limiting beliefs fall away until your vision in all it’s glorious detail is revealed.  And then give yourself the love and energy and encouragement needed to have your dreams bear the fruit of success. To imagine the powerful impact your dream has in our world and how your success lights the way for others.  And carve out the time each and every day to move a little more towards the fulfillment of your desire, letting resistance go, throwing fear of success, or failure, out while you simply keep the faith. I encourage you to Ignore The naysayers who give you all the reasons why it can’t be done, why you can’t do it.  If fear or doubt become your companions set them…

[success]No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it. ~ Albert Einstein[/success] It’s pretty unnverving when you have an idle thought, or two or even three and WHAM before you know it, the reflection comes back and hits you right between the eyes. And even worse when it’s something you absolutely, positively do not want.  There should be some disclaimer on the laws of consciousness – look out because we can and will come back to bite you in the posterior and that might be a big bite. More than ever I become aware of that old adage ‘you can’t afford the luxury of a negative thought.’  And even the most idle thoughts, if connected to a feeling have the power to manifest as conditions in our life. This consciousness stuff is a pretty hard task master and I’m here to tell you it’s all…

[success] It’s in giving that we receive. ~ St. Francis[/success] My heart sank.  I recognized I’d fallen short of the ideals that society held up to me as the true definition of success. I was standing in line at the grocery store surrounded by magazines and newspapers telling me how to be more like this super model, or this celebrity, or this entrepreneur.  And…gulp…I wasn’t.  Something must be wrong.  Right? What’s in your subconscious? We live in this world where we’re constantly being told we need more money, need to be better looking, in better shape, be more successful…and we need to do more in order to accomplish these goals.  We read articles in magazines, or see stuff on the television,  telling us what we should be doing, or how we should be living our lives and we just accept it, totally unconsciously. And once accepted, it becomes processed by our…
