If you plan on being anything less than you are capable of being, you will probably be unhappy all the days of your life.  Abraham Maslow You’ve just had an experience that got on your last nerve. Your latest and greatest project was a huge bust. Your car died, a sudden, unexpected, death. You had a miserable day. Everything that could go wrong did. You were the dumpee or dumper. Basically life sucks. Nothing feels good. And here you are sitting in your poopy pants, in your ‘woe is me’ state of mind. Well sitting in poopy pants probably isn’t all that comfortable. Think crying babies. And worse, we’re planting seeds of discontent and you’d better believe we’ll be reaping the harvest some soon day. As an added incentive…if you needed one, The HeartMath Institute conducted an experiment that our feelings and emotions have a direct effect on our DNA,…

[success]Real magic in relationships means an absence of judgement of others. ~ Wayne Dyer[/success] Have you ever wondered why life isn’t working out quite the way you imagined?  You expected to have something great happen…but it didn’t?  Or at least it didn’t seem to. Maybe it’s because you were doing the same thing I did. I’m about to share a story that doesn’t leave me covered in glory or smelling of roses…more like the stuff that makes roses grow so sweet.  Hmmm maybe there’s a story right there.  Dig beneath the dirt, you never know what sweet thing you’ll uncover. If you’d rather not hear about me being a miserable little toad…then read no further…but for all you brave souls..this is the rest of the story. You already know that each evening, my Darling One and I write down our assumptions for the next day.  They can be anything from…

[success]Comfort zones are most often expanded through discomfort. ~ Peter McWilliams[/success] Have ever found yourself in a state of discomfort? I’m not talking about physical discomfort, more the kind that swells from deep within and reaches into every aspect of your life.  Where you feel odd.  You’re not yourself.  You feel squiggly.  Something doesn’t fit.  You don’t feel like you. Have you ever been there and wondered what the heck…or words even stronger.  Not being a cursing woman myself I don’t quite have the vocabulary.  Not that I’ve anything against cursing…it sounds great coming from someone else.  But for some reason any time I’ve tried it, people snort with laughter, apparently it doesn’t sound right. Oh well. It lasted two weeks.  Not the cursing state, the state of discomfort. It didn’t even begin slowly.  It just arrived one day. At first I didn’t know what was happening.  I wasn’t depressed,…

If we all worked on the assumption that what is accepted as true is really true, there would be little hope of advance. ~ Orville Wright There are times when I’m reminded that I really do live in my own little world. And sometimes when I hear or see the worlds that some other people live in…the worlds where being focused on what you don’t want is normal and choosing the very thing you don’t want is just the way it is, I’m totally taken by surprise. I can’t imagine living like that anymore. One thing I know for sure, it isn’t going to improve life as we currently know it. And since it’s been a little while since I’ve told a story, here’s a little travellers tale for you. I was chatting to Louisa yesterday, and she was telling me she’d been delayed at the airport. Hmmm that sounds too familiar…must…

[success]Today you are a magnet, for infinite abundance, divine intelligence, and unlimited love. Actually, this has always been true. ~ Mike Dooley[/success] You have a theory of how life works and then bang, someone or something blows that theory out of the water.  And you say, well, okay it’s true some of the time.  And then another theory shows up…seemingly out of the blue and you give that a whirl.  And before you know it another theory bites the dust…hmmm it seems life doesn’t work exactly like that either. And one fine day, you come across some ideas and principles that you tentatively test and woohoo they work.  You discover that there are two actual outlooks on the world, two outlooks that we all share…a natural focus and a spiritual one. It’s the spiritual focus that allows us to fulfill our desires…that leads us towards the life of promise and possibility…
