You’d like to have a truly successful, positive, abundant and happy life…wouldn’t you?
So what’s getting in the way?
I hate to tell you this. But. You are!
And it’s not okay that you’re not living the life you deserve. There’s no reason that you should do this any more.
Life is not meant to be a struggle…just a gentle movement from one point to another.
If your reality doesn’t match your dreams remember this…you have the ability, and the power to affect your reality.
When things just aren’t going your way, no matter how hard you try, you know it’s time to create a new reality.
Don’t get hung up on the difficulties of making changes, it’s often a matter of knowing what it means to you to live more abundantly. It’s not until you give it any real thought that you open the door to infinite possibilities.
1.The biggest stumbling block
As a baby or young child, you busily recorded all experiences as reality. Things that you saw, things you heard, situations you were involved in all being recorded in your little mind.
And those unconscious programmes that you unwittingly recorded are still running your life. They’re building and maintaining your current reality. Which means every event, every person, every experience, every day.
Maybe you picked up that life is tough, money was hard to come by, and you’d better plan for the worst because it’s sure to come!
If this is you, it’s definitely time you put a stop to those old stories of how life is.
You don’t have to surrender your dreams because someone close to you said that you’d never achieve them.
What you must do is change the way you see yourself…this is what it takes to change your world and to really live the way you want to.
2.Breaking through

Is not that hard to do. But you need persistence.
When you were young you practiced over and over again. Even if you failed.
Learning to walk, you’d fall over and over and over. But you got back up and tried again and you succeeded.
Same with learning to talk.
Your first attempts probably only had your nearest and dearest with any clue what you were trying to say. But you kept trying.
Until eventually, as you persisted, you found out which sounds got you what you wanted.
You hadn’t learned that you couldn’t do these things. You hadn’t been told it was hard. And you never felt criticized for not getting it right first time. Nor did you fear failure. That’s who you still can be.
3.What do you really want?
The world really does sit at your feet. But you have to get after it as though your very life depended on it. ‘Cos it does.
If you knew you could have anything you wanted. Anything. What would you choose?

Most people have no clue what it is they really want or where they plan on going, make sure this isn’t you.
Think seriously about how you’d like your life to be. How you want to be.
Who you want to be more than anything else in the world. And then write down the ten things you want most of all. Write down twenty or thirty or more…and winnow them down to your top ten.
Then start to track your day and see how much effort you are putting into your life that don’t bring you the results you want. Or worse, don’t really bring any results at all.
Often you’ll find that it’s just about 20% of your focused efforts that actually bring results. Make up your mind to stop living with disappointing results, and start to live beyond them.
4.Develop Dedication
How willing are you? Will you stick it out when anyone else would have given up ages ago? Determine that you can and your success is assured.
Don’t let what others think stand in your way. Don’t allow your old limitations to stop you and the Universe will respond.
The first step is to become energetically dedicated to yourself. This means self-care…and yes it’s a necessary component of a more wonderful reality.
It means concentrating on your needs, on the things that bring joy to your spirit. It means focusing on projects that are heartfelt for you and taking the time to acknowledge you have special gifts and talents that the world needs. And it’s your job to develop them.
Once you can accept this level of nurturing attention you’ll discover life takes on new meaning. You’ll have altered your agreement with reality and have a wonderful tool to use in other areas of life.
Your very consistency will make you stand head and shoulders above the crowd.
All you need is to take tiny steps towards building this energy in your life and slowly but surely, one day you’ll discover you’re at the top of your mountain looking down on your brand new reality. Go on. You can do this.
Your turn…I’d love to hear from you in the comments below. What must you do to create your new reality?
Encourage one another.
Love Elle
xoxo

Elle,
I love the way you wove different essential threads together in this article like perseverance, perception, dedication, and self-care. I find, thinking back to the persistence we had as a child is very inspiring! I am creating a new reality, one that has even more relaxation, healing, and love.
It’s so true Sandra…we just aren’t as diligent in our practices as we were as children. I honestly believe changing that, even a little, can make all the difference in our life. 🙂
HI Elle,
I know exactly what you mean when you say that most people don’t know what they want. The truth is they only have a vague idea, if even that. I think they treat their desires like a passing thought because they don’t think it’ll really happen. But the unknown can’t just happen, you have to know first.
I used to fall victim of spending much of my time on things that had nothing to do with my goals. Which is why they either didn’t happen or took forever. You do have to put in the effort and be consistent. Progress isn’t the result of a one-off action. You have to do it and keep at it.

Lea…you have absolutely hit the nail on the head. It’s those little daily things that add up to the great big difference in our reality. 🙂
Elle,
That unconscious programming, implicit memories, can really run the show and limit our lives. I know it did mine. Becoming aware of that script and consciously changing is the first step, as you say, to all of the others. Thanks for the reminder.
Oh Yes what do you really want stood out for me it is one of the questions that is often most challenging I find. I relate. Very interesting and challenging when one starts to track you day- you can recover so much time after you get over the shock of how much time you spend on stuff that will not move you forward. xxoo
It’s true Suzie, I know from my own experience how much of my time isn’t going towards the life I’m choosing to live. And I include time to breathe, and think…not just active time. 🙂
Another winner, thanks Elle !
The one that has really been my focus lately is #4 “Develop Dedication”.
Not to diminish your first 3 by any means but it’s just that I really understood #4 so much more profoundly recently. It takes continued effort, true diligence and almost ruthless self-editing to keep one’s self on track to realizing their desires.
This sensory world of ours overflows with beautiful empty shiny distractions. And it takes “Developing Dedication” to what we truly want to receive it.
Write on, Elle !
You always have such profound comments Joseph…as always I would love you to write more! 🙂
This is both gentle, empathic and inspiring writing Elle, thank you <3
Thank you Ellen. Coming from such an accomplished writer as yourself…I truly appreciate your kind words. 🙂
Hi Elle–I wonder how many more times I need to hear/read these lessons before I truly embrace and live them? Thank you for your wonderful post/reminders. I am so happy I came across your blog, Wsihing you every success!
Hello Mary Ann…I suspect every time you hear/read them they become a little more ‘real’ for you. Repetition is key. I find that for myself and I find it to be true of others. Just look back to where you were last year and I bet you’ve come a lot further than you think! 🙂
I think your point about persistence is so important. With anything new, practice is the key as well as being determined to get keep at it until you get it right. Thank you Elle!
Hi Cathy…persistence, repetition, diligence…all needed and you’re right about determination. So even if we fall short one day, we can come right back the next and get down to it again. 🙂
Beautiful Elle! <3
Just the reminder I needed this Wednesday morning! I especially loved: " Then start to track your day and see how much effort you are putting into your life that don’t bring you the results you want. Or worse, don’t really bring any results at all. " and: "If you knew you could have anything you wanted. Anything. What would you choose?"
Thanks for helping me to shift the trajectory of my day!
🙂
Lori
How lovely to see you again Lori. How are you dear heart? I’m so happy to know that this post helped you this morning. I love when that happens. 🙂
I think it is very true that most people don’t know what they really want. They have vague notions- like to be rich or to be free. I have spent a lot of time figuring out what i really want out of life, and am now acting on that. It makes many choices easier, I can choose things that serve the life I want to have.

Awesome JT…keep going dear heart…you’ll never regret it. 🙂
Thank you for writing this. I looked up creating a new reality bc today after my efforts to live purposely, felt like the beginning of something exciting. For so long, after being defeated over and over with life, after knowing how it feels to be estatic about life, I am finally waking up again which means focusing on what my dreams are, believing i can acheieve it, and knowing the universe is conspiring to give me everything I want. As you suggested in the article about cultivating your talents, I began paintimg wood signs that has law of attraction quotes that speak to me, and if i would have given up and thought just because i used to be artistic why is my stuff coming out weird, i just need to practice. Today i am meeting with a mentor to help with marketing for a senior conceirge service I want to offer and every day focusing on building myself up. I have a feeling that helping people reach their highest self is my calling.
Wow Gina…that is so awesome!!! I’m so happy you shared your story with us. I’m with you 100% of the way. I’ve always believed that our success helps many and our fear none. Hi Miss Elle,
This morning was not a good one. Most of my days are unpleasant. But, I do realize that I haven’t cared about myself enough and that’s why my life is where it is. I’m only 25, but I’ve literally allowed everyone who I am close to, to walk all over me. I know it’s my fault and that if I have more respect and love for myself, things would be different. I’m just trying to find a way to not be so affected by the fact that I have to go at this alone for a while. not because I have to, but because of why I have to. As hard as it was to open myself up and be honest about what I’m going through mentally, emotionally, and even physically, it’ll probably be even harder for a while. The very people I should be able to trust, uses my sorrow against me when I’m not doing what they want. I’ve been knocked down so many times that it’s gotten harder to stand back up, but there are bright lights like you that conjures up the fight in me. I’m a spiritual person, and even though I’ve been depressed for a while, I still have hope that I have a better life ahead. I enjoy reading your articles as a reminder to keep up my determination and motivation to live the life I deserve. I’m starting to fill up my time with more of what brings me joy and peace.
Thank you from the deepest part of my heart,
Ameena <3
