Four Easy And Quick Ways To Boost Your Success.

[success]A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks others have thrown at him. ~ David Brinkley[/success]

Once a week I have to jab myself with a needle.  To put it more politely.  I give myself a shot.

Nothing horribly serious…the fickle finger of fate just at work and I don’t absorb B12 very well…all right not at all.

And okay, we all know that fate had absolutely nothing to do with it, fickle or otherwise…but boy I liked that phrase and I was going to use it come hell or high water.

Once we knew about the deficiency, and I began jabbing myself regularly, the fogginess of thought and all the things that went along with it, virtually disappeared.  Notice I said virtually, just in case ‘you-know-who‘ is reading this and decides to leave some funny comment on my thinking capabilities.

Poised with needle in hand this morning…the thought came to me.  Wouldn’t it be great if we could give ourself a booster shot of optimism, or joy, or gratitude.  And how about a daily booster for our relationships or careers or finances.  With a big boost going to our success.

In fact, couldn’t we choose to boost everything in life and would it take any longer than giving ourself a jab with a needle?

Believe me, once you’ve jabbed yourself a few hundred times, you can get it done really quickly.

A Gratitude Boost

Gratitude always brings more things to be grateful for.  We’re unlocking the door that leads to incredible joy in our life as it converts the ordinary into the extraordinary, the meagre meal into a grand dining experience, or poor health into greater vitality.  A vibration of gratitude sets up a powerful field of energy and if we’re grateful for what we currently have, be it financial, love, work, however limited it currently is, not only will those areas grow, but blessings will abound in other parts of our life.

An Encouragement Boost

Take a minute to give praise or to send praise mentally.

Another powerful energy booster.  Everyone benefits when praise is sincere and heartfelt, especially when spoken out loud.  Find someone today to praise; a fellow worker, a friend, a partner a family member.  A stranger will do just fine.  We could all do with a daily encouragement boost, regardless of how successful we currently are, or are not.  It just feels so flipping good.

Think back to when you were praised and recognized…maybe for something you did, and maybe just because. Just because you’re you.  Didn’t that feel good?  Didn’t you get a spiritual boost, an uplifting of your heart?  That’s an energy boost for you and the encourager.  Pretty good deal all round for a minute of our time.

A Creativity Boost

Creativity lies within the power of our mind.   Imagination, and intuition will lead the way, if  you step aside and allow.  Creativity is willing to leap before it looks…and it’s often surprised at the huge jump it took.  Add a little enthusiasm, a sprinkling of passion and a pinch of motivation and we have a creativity boost worth boasting about.

If you’re working on a project, or you have a goal to accomplish do you believe you need a certain amount of time to accomplish it.  Sometimes a really, really long time?  Remember, that’s only a belief.  Changing your belief can bring an enormous creativity boost, and your project or goal can be done much sooner than you previously expected.  Try it and see.

A Confidence Boost

We all get by now, that our thoughts and feelings create a vibration of energy that draws events and experiences into our world.  And from an energy perspective who we are matters…a lot.  Who we are is the cumulative effect of our thoughts and feelings and beliefs and what we accept and consent to as true.

If we vibrate with an energy that allows us to easily and quickly accomplish our goals and experience our desires, our successes can occur before you can say Jack Robinson.

Your self-confidence and self-image belong to you.  They’re not given by some unseen force nor do they appear through any particular circumstance.  They’re bestowed on you, by you.  So focus on your positive qualities, think about your past successes and take pleasure in them.  Be thankful for who you are and the the gifts and talents that are uniquely yours.  That success breeds success is true for everything.  It’s all possible to them that believe.

And keep right on encouraging one another.

Love Elle
xoxo

    Hi Elle,

A booster shot of optimism, or joy, or gratitude would be wonderful and solve so many problems for us all, wouldn’t it? Life could be easier if things like this were packaged up and ready to go. With your inspiration, we can find all encouragement we all need. We do need to be reminded to look inside, for it it there. We just need to be ready to access our real power to find the life that we want.

Sorry to hear about your weekly injections, but glad you have found something that will help that physical problem. Thanks for sharing your great post.

Never a truer word Cathy..be ready to access our real power…love it. It’s all there for us, truly just a thought or feeling away. 🙂

Hi Elle, I have this project percolating at the back of my mind (pretty sure it’s been there practically since birth). I know what it is vaguely, but I’m not sure exactly what’s inside. It feels like it wants to be birthed already though, so I shall put pen to paper and see what occurs 🙂

What a great way to take something you have to deal with (giving yourself a shot every week), and turning it into a great post full of boosting power! That was really brilliant. My joy is always boosted when I visit here. Every time.

    • Elle says:

Aww Galen thank you so much…funny how these thoughts come to us…I’ve been doing the shot thing for a few years now, and don’t really pay any attention to it…until the other day. And you boost my day kiddo with your encouraging comments. 🙂

Elle, I love this post and it has me thinking that this is why so many feel lost… because they’ve lost faith and confidence in themselves. Though we, as friends, can help boost it, it’s up to the person to to believe in themselves. To know who they are and love who they are…right?

    • Elle says:

You’re right on the money Vanita…we, as encouragers can create a vibration of energy that supports and elevates our friends, but they have to be able to accept it for themselves for it to stick. It’s our own personal vibration of energy that draws our life experience to us. 🙂

I know what you mean about the B12, my mother had to do these shots. She had trouble with the B12 thing after she had breast cancer. It must work good, she made it to 87 year old.

I love the way you have made something positive out of this. With the right attitude and being grateful the world is our play ground.

Thank Elle and have a great day.
    Debbie

    • Elle says:

That’s great news Debbie. I know the shots make a huge difference in my life. I must say I’ve already decided I’m sticking around until I’m 96 and then I’m going to vibrate off the planet hand in hand with my Darling One. 🙂 I think he said yes.

    Elle –

Talk about like energy attracting each other. I went to visit my daughter this afternoon and she told me she thinks that I may have a vitamin B12 deficiency because I seem tired, pale, and a bit listless.

Each of the points you make are good ones. Working at making ‘gratefulness’ a part of my values/foundation has made a huge difference in my life. Once I have that piece in place, life becomes so much sweeter.xxoo-Fran

    • Elle says:

Hi Fran. I was reading the other day that B12 deficiency is reaching almost epidemic proportions. Most people can get away with the sublingual B12, but I don’t absorb enough, so it’s shots for me.

Isn’t it amazing what a little gratitude will do for us Fran…I’m so happy that you’re life is so sweet…a perfect match for you. 🙂

  7. Pat says:

It would be nice Elle if it were that simple to just get a shot for what we need for the day. I like what you said, “Creativity lies within the power of our mind. Imagination, and intuition will lead the way, if you step aside and allow.”

I never saw it flow that way before. And you’re right, when I’ve taken a creativity leap, I look around at what a huge jump it took — can be overwhelming sometimes and encouragement goes a long way.

    😀 Have a great day!

    • Elle says:

Now that’s pretty cool Pat…having the awareness that your creative leap actually took you much further than you might have thought. And you’re so right, we all need encouragement…however successful we are. Nothing quite like that encouraging, even virtual, hug. 🙂

      • Pat says:

Yeah, I know – thanks Elle – those creative leaps land me in places I’ve never been before and it’s a little disconcerting at times on getting my bearings and figure where the ‘heck’ I am and what to do next (LOL).

    Elle,

I’ve struggled with self-confidence my whole life. So, reading the section on Confidence Boost was especially helpful for me.

I can be so hard on myself. Taking the time to see what I do well along with my positive qualities does help me re-frame my expectations and does help my confidence grow a little stronger.

    Thanks for sharing your wisdom,

    Alex

    • Elle says:

Hello Alex…and I know you know you’re not alone in the self-confidence stakes. It’s amazing how many people that we think are brimming over with confidence are really not. I’m so glad you’re able to see the positive qualities that you have. Let me add my own personal view…your site is simply wonderful. It’s always a beautiful reminder of all the lovely things life has to offer. Hope you add that to your acknowledgement list. 🙂

    • Pat says:

Alex – I never would have thought that — you have always come across to me as being one of the most confident bloggers I know! I look at all the success you’ve got going for you! You’re doin’ something right. 🙂

  9. Nick Goodall says:

This is wonderful, I need to find somebody to encourage today. I’m also impressed at your ability to turn a jab into a joy and share that with others, props to you.

Gratitude always works wonders for me, at the end of each day I spend a couple of minutes reflecting on what happened and then I write down 3 things I’m grateful for that day in my journal, that in itself is rewarding!
