Did I Discover The Secret Of The Universe?

If you listen quietly enough life will whisper its secrets to you. ~ Rasheed Ogunlaru

The day I ‘discovered’ there was more to life than these poor eyes had dreamed of, I thought, poor Shakespeare I do have an inclination to misquote him.  Nah, that’s not what I thought…it was more like a gigantic Hallelujah.  I’ve uncovered the secrets of the Universe.

It’s an odd thing to one day ‘wake up’ to the fact that you are the maker and builder of your own world.  Not just an intellectual awareness, which is great, but a really deep soul-felt knowing that it was the truth with a capital T.

It was scary and exhilarating and empowering and did I mention scary?  And that was when the trouble started.

Enthusiasm is great, but….

I wanted to share my enthusiasm and love for these principles to let everyone know they are uniquely qualified to life a life of their choosing.  That they are at choice, that they can believe whatever they want, think whatever they want, feel whatever they want.   They are a centre of power.  Sounds okay when I put it like that.

But….that was when all hell broke loose…in the shape of little ol me.

You test a philosophy,  yes it’s true I’m experiencing the results of my thoughts and feelings.  Wow, I’d better tell everyone.  I was on a mission.  I needed to shout it from the rooftops, everyone should hear this, everyone should be doing this…and then you discover…everyone doesn’t want to hear it…everyone can’t hear it…not everyone wants the responsibility of being the builder and maker of their world.  Not everyone can understand it the way I tell it.

Even my sister, god bless her, used to yawn when I showed up…I was like a preacher on steroids.  I was so excited, so thrilled with this philosophy that truth be told I was a pain in the neck… albeit an enthusiastic pain in the neck.  But still…I was a pain.

Fortunately, I’d been raised by very wise women…I had wise men in my life too, but it was mum and grandma who gave me the blueprint for living a wonderful life, and I remembered them telling me that life was a constant state of becoming and it wasn’t necessary to rush it along.

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. ~ Lao Tzu

Knowing when to shut up is important

There’s that old adage, know thyself, my friend Shakespeare again…he’s everywhere…but also knowing when to shut up ought to be up there too…well for some of us.

It was time to practice these principles not by trying to persuade anyone to try it, but simply using my imagination lovingly on behalf of others.  Neville calls this ‘mediating God to man.’

I was discovering that knowing ourselves was less about what we like or dislike in life, or where our strengths and weaknesses lie, it was about our inner awareness. The awareness that we all live in a world of manifestation, where we’re able to harness a magnificent inner power and through deliberate focus of our attention experience more of what we’d like to see in our life.

How do you see yourself?

Are you yet seeing yourself as this amazing person, with incredible power to manifest your ideal world?

Can you see that you’re the creator of most of what’s happened, is happening and will happen in your world?  Can you see it without judging it to be bad or good, just that it is what it is, and within you and around you is the most powerful force of the universe awaiting your orders?

Isn’t that amazing and wonderful and awesome, in the truest sense of the word?  Consciousness is all around us, the powerful force of the universe and whilst we may not be able to see it, or to touch it, we can activate it, use it to live our greater more ideal life.

Shifting gears

If you can see this even just a teeny tiny bit, maybe it’s time to shift gears and up the game.

We aren’t going to drive our car around in first gear and nor should we do that with our consciousness.  Try taking it up a notch.  How about expecting a miracle, expecting your fortunes to change and expecting that all manner of things under heaven and earth will move to aid you, to bring your new life experiences to you?

You can do it.  And if you need any help or support I’m so happy to be there, sharing whatever I can, whatever I know.  You are greater than you know.

I love this story from a Neville lecture, which shows how using your imagination on behalf of another in a loving way can bring happy outcomes.  I think it’s from some time in the fifties.

You are responsible for every being you meet.  A teacher I know took a child who was about to be expelled from school because she was rude, crude and unethical, and changed her into a tender, considerate, loving little girl.  She did this by carrying on a mental conversation with the child from that premise.

The next day the little girl began to express kindness, and ten days later the verdict of the faculty was repealed and the child was not expelled. This child received a second chance because one teacher believed my words.

There’s so much to creating about which I know nothing…I’m never going to know enough…and that’s okay with me.  I’m going to be a student and operator of these laws until the day I leave this earth and the more immersed in it I am, the higher level of conscious awareness I operate in.  And I love it.

How about you?  Are you living each day understanding the power that you have?  That your dominant thoughts and feelings, your heartfelt feelings are building a life that can be one of fulfillment and abundance and joy and all manner of good things, just as easily as a life of struggle and difficulty?

Encourage one another.

Elle, yes! I’ve been feeling this for a couple of years now (moreso in recent months), that I draw my experiences to me. It’s definitely awesome. I love the sense of empowerment, yet at the same time, it’s a huge responsibility. And I agree – not everyone thinks this way, or wants to explore these possiblities. So it’s wonderful to connect with an online community that “gets it!”

    Thanks for the great post!

Hello Christine, that is so cool, that sense of empowerment you have. And you’re right it is a responsibility, but my view is not to take it too seriously. If I get it wrong…which has been known…I just shrug my shoulders, recognize it’s just consciousness and change my mind to focus on something else. 🙂

Hello lantanagurl, I’m glad you feel encouraged and putting it into practice is the way to feel even more encouraged. It feels fantastic every time it works! 🙂

I recently discovered that power from within too. I was also so eager to share it with my surroundings but unfortunately noone can really grasps the greatness of it. I guess i have to focus on myself and immediate surrounding…n let the enrrgy of the universe just makes it happen
