Attempting the wrong approach to solve this can even create more stress and fill your life to the brim with fear and anxiety. Not the way to go if you’re looking for that stress-free mind
So, what’s the way out? Well, firstly let’s look at what stress really is.
What stress really is:
A study completed by Mountain State Centers for Independent Living (MTSTCIL) states that:
Stress is your body’s way of responding to any kind of demand.
It can be caused by both good and bad experiences. Who knew?
When people feel stressed by something going on around them, their bodies react by releasing chemicals into the blood.
These chemicals give people more energy and strength, which can be a good thing if their stress is caused by physical danger.
But this can also be a bad thing if their stress is in response to something emotional and there is no outlet for this extra energy and strength.
If that’s true, which I believe that it is, then there’s a high tendency that we can feel stress due to good experiences happening in our life and not just the negative ones.
The problem is, most people tend to focus on the bad aspects without paying attention to how some positive change could be generating stress in their body.
The Solution?
Harness the power of self-awareness
This simply means trying to understand the reason why you’re feeling stressed before thinking about a solution to free your mind. Anything other than this can result in a wrong decision which can cause you more stress or worsen your health.
Such a wrong decision could be taking drugs to relieve stress when you only need a good night’s sleep in order to generate a new positive strength.
Now, do you see why self-awareness is powerful? From this moment on, whenever you’re stressed out, try to understand why such is happening before making any move to free your mind.
If you do that, you’ll be fine and live naturally.
Get rid of negative addictions for a stress-free mind
In order to cope with stress and anxiety, some people will turn to alcohol, drugs, or maybe even smoking just to calm stress and live a pain-free life.
But at what price?
For instance, one study states that drugs like painkillers only work for the duration of 12 or more hours and after that, everything goes back to its previous state.
So understand that everything beyond natural has a working duration and side effects.
You should tend to take those unnatural things only when it’s extremely necessary.
And if your body is reacting negatively to something you’re trying or is addicted to, get rid of such things and do your utmost to find your path back to a simple, natural life.
Understand that the present moment is powerful
You can find much clarity, joy, and peace of mind in this present moment by simply letting go of past worries and fears of the future.
Meditating for 10 to 20 minutes a day can be a great powerful way to fully experience the present moment.
Try to keep everything normal, focus on the present moment and the positive things going on right now.
Eat sensibly; don’t overeat, pay attention to how the food looks, tastes, and smells. Be mindful.
Meditating, eating sensibly, and exercising are not the only things that really matter, what also matters is that you create time to practice living fully in the present moment.
Concentrate on the present moment and you’ll discover your stress-free mind was available to you all the time. It was simply hidden behind your habits of living in the past.
And there’s no new future in that.
