[success]Live out of your imagination, not your history. ~ Steven Covey.[/success] Today is encouragement day, and let’s face it we all need a little encouragement every now and then. This month my friend Victor Schueller, otherwise known as the Professor of Positivity and Possibility is leading the way so without further ado over to you Victor: Sometimes people are amazed that in as few as five minutes of work they can turn around a relationship problem that has existed for years. Unfortunately for some, amazement is not the word used to describe their experience. Sometimes people describe it politely as a frustration over many unnecessary years spent in anguish and suffering. Does it really take only five minutes? In some cases, yes. In some cases it takes longer. It’s hard to say (and as they say in the commercials…results may vary.) But, my question in response is, “Why does it have…

[success] It is the mind that maketh good or ill, that maketh wretch or happy, rich or poor. ~ Michel de Montaigne [/success] Michel de Montaigne, wrote  – “What do I know?” way back in 1580. I think it became his motto for life. And that’s a long blooming time ago.  So what does it have to do with us today and those golden opportunities? You might well ask. He thought humanity [is it possible he had you and me in mind?] was mentally unstable, definitely not very consistent, contradictory and often filled with self-doubt and uncertainty.  And ever since he wrote that, people have been paying attention to their consciousness in one way or another. Which leads directly to the question. What goes on in your mind? We don’t have to be totally awake and aware to find that sometimes our thoughts run round and round, hither and thither, back and…

[success] Reality leaves a lot to the imagination. ~ John Lennon [/success] Have you heard of Findhorn, the Scottish (naturally) Foundation which is an experiment in conscious living and growing? It’s the place where they use the power of love and encouragement…a bit like us here…but they use it to grow outsize vegetables and plants in less than hospitable ground.  They’re famous for their forty pound cabbages…yep you read right…that’s forty pounds and they do it all by co-creating with nature. By means of nature and spirit. Most gardeners and those who spend time daily with plants will probably tell you about the consciousness of plants. Which doesn’t come as any surprise to us now does it?  We know that EVERYTHING is consciousness. Consciousness is the cause and the substance of it all. We’re all discovering the power of our imagination and how our thoughts and feelings and ideas translate into what…

I’ve never actually tripped…like on magic mushrooms or something…but I have tripped over things on the floor.  So when I first heard the story of the the thirty foot by one foot plank placed on the floor that everyone could easily walk over, I thought to myself…maybe. That however wasn’t the point of the story and for those who’ve never heard it – here it is. If said plank were on your living room floor and someone said I want you to walk the plank. it’d be a piece of cake.  You wouldn’t give it a second thought.  Easy peasy. What if same plank were strung between two high rise buildings some fifty feet or more in the air, what then?  Could you walk across it with the same aplomb? (I’ve been waiting to use that word for ever.) The answer is, it’s doubtful that you could. So what’s the…

It is a delusion that other than assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled, you can do anything to aid the realization of your desire…The illusion of the free will to do is but ignorance of the law of assumption upon which all action is based. Your assumptions, conscious or unconscious direct your action to their fulfillment. ~ Neville Once we get, truly get, that it’s our subconscious that as a ‘centre of divine operation’ does the work in fulfilling all our desires.  We can relax, right? Apparently, not so much. Our mind is still busily trying to work out how to make those dreams come true. What if I did this. Oh, wait a minute, maybe I should do that? Nah, I tried that before and it didn’t work, what I really need to do is….noooooooooo. Stop. Recently I posted a picture of the Stickman, to help see how our…
