I count my blessings that I met Andrea Marcellus. I’m not the most disciplined person regarding my weight, in my eating habits, or in any exercise programme or even the most likely one to stick with new year’s resolutions about these things, if I made any that is. You can read here what I think about New Year’s Resolutions. You might not be like me, you might not need some winning strategies for health and wellness and lifting your life. You might be cruising along and prefer I didn’t interrupt. But if you knew that the whole purpose was to support your wellness journey by creating possibility, direction, purpose & curiosity – the cornerstones of growth, confidence, self-esteem – and actions that will stimulate reward center in the brain and inhibits the amygdala (fear/anxiety center) maybe today would be the day that you would want to hear about Andrea’s 5 winning…

Can I be blunt for a moment? If you’re like most of us you probably need some tools to reduce stress and increase energy. The world we live in today is filled with pressure and stress, and as much as I don’t want to talk about it, sorry, but you’re going to feel stressed. It could be stress from lack of money, or work, political climate, violence and crime, or it could even be worrying about what the future holds for us. It’s been research proven by US stress statistics that 77% percent of people around the world experience symptoms caused by stress. You see, no matter how much you try to avoid stress, the truth is, it’s almost unavoidable. Stress can come through tension from a co-worker, pressure from your boss, work overload, medical expense, or family crisis just to mention a few. What about distractions, poor nutrition, lack…

Living in an endless loop of negativity isn’t great, because thoughts repeated often enough become the reality, regardless of whether they’re true or not! You know what I mean thoughts like: “I’m too fat. I’m just not good enough. I’ll never get promoted. I don’t have what it takes. I’m never enough. I can never do anything well. My family is right; I’m just good for nothing. No one likes me. Why do I bother? No one cares about me. I’m just a loner.” Does this describe the kind of thoughts you have? Do you find yourself constantly depressed and dejected from feelings of not being enough or able to do the things you want to do? Do you make plans and find it hard to make them happen? Do you beat yourself up with cruel self-talk at any slight mistake you make? And worst of all, have you found…

It’s crazy isn’t it. People don’t know if they’re in an emotionally abusive relationship or not. Why is that? It seems so obvious to those on the outside. But it’s not always that easy for those of us on the inside. It’s not like physical abuse which is pretty clear, because, well generally it’s visible to one and all. Many of us downplay or even outright dismiss the idea that our relationship is an emotionally abusive one. And some of use never realized there was such a thing. And that was me…back in the day. Back in the day before it was a well-recognized thing. In fact I never even thought about it until I came to America and watched a made for t.v movie depicting the very things I’d experienced for more years than I care to remember. And wow. It had a name. Emotional abuse. An emotional abusive…

If you’ve ever struggled with self-doubt and low self-esteem you know how hard it can be to accept who you are, let alone think highly of yourself. And as for giving yourself credit for where you are in life today, from where you were last year, well that rarely happens does it? Yet nothing is more important than how you see yourself and the way you think about yourself and talk to yourself. Nothing! Here’s an incredibly simple secret of the universe. We cannot, we will not ever rise above the image we hold of ourselves. It can’t be done. For whatever we believe on the inside is manifested on the outside. Your outer physical life plays out as a reflection of your inner imaginative world. And no matter how long you’ve struggled with self-doubt and lack of self-esteem there’s something greater within you that can hold you up when…
