Negative conversations. We all have them with ourselves. For some of us pretty regularly. And then we are surprised and hurt when life sneaks up and kicks us up the backside. This used to be me in action: “If I expect the worse, then I can manage it when it happens.” I worried. I tended to expect some catastrophe to befall me, or maybe a betrayal. Any courage I had often fell prey to fear and overwhelming worry, egged on by those persistent negative conversations I had with myself. And yes, I was still overcome with surprise when I never seemed to be able to improve my circumstances. It took quite a few years, lots of courses, books, and studies before I grasped the idea that this kind of thinking was a trap that led to the erosion of my self-confidence. (What little I had at the time.) Negative thinking…

Insecurity. I would bet money on it that there isn’t a person who doesn’t feel insecure some time in their life. They might keep their insecurities better hidden. But the truth remains. There are times when most of us feel vulnerable, insecure or even threatened. As a girl I could never walk into a room filled with people unless I walked around the edge of said room, trying to stop people from noticing I was there. Talk about having an insecurity! It was hard to meet new people, and as for life’s confrontations, I avoided them like the plague. I lived my life based on what others thought of me with little or no attention given to what I thought of me. I spent too much of my life assuming I wasn’t good enough. It wasn’t always visible to someone on the outside. In fact most people believed I was…

Many people are stuck getting the same things over and over, and I’m here to tell you a lot of people are stuck. Far too many folk got the same results this past year as the one before. It may fluctuate a bit but not much. Sound familiar? It isn’t that people don’t have goals, or don’t want to head in another direction…they just don’t know how. But mostly they’re stuck because they don’t know where they are. Physically they know…they’re in a field or on a street or on a farm but mentally they don’t know where they are. Or why they keep getting the same results. It’s because they don’t understand they have to control the flow of thought energy so that it improves everything with which it connects. We are and always will be where our thoughts take us. Far too many people are unaware of where…

Losers fix the blame; winners fix what caused the problem ~ Denis Waitley Nothing is as painful as the thought and feelings of thinking we’re a loser. Most people experience that stage in life when they lose all hope and faith to keep going. Who are the losers? Here’s my definition. Losers are those who have given up on life. They no longer want to explore ways to make things better. They’re often filled with self-dislike and need to make others feel small, because that’s how they feel…small. Not long ago, I was that person. Filled with lack of vision and purpose to move forward I ‘d lost my self-confidence and even though I was able to visualize how to make things better, I simply wasn’t able to access the mindset to take action. And I can tell you it hurt. Depression is real, and isn’t a feeling you want…
