achieve-the-life-you-want

We can say that achievement means different things to different people, depending on how they see it.

Achieving the life you want might be to some as simple as getting their daily activities done. But for others it means tasks that are most important to them like building a career or business and accomplishing their set goals.

Do you find it hard to achieve the life you want and the goals you set?

Do you find yourself stuck wondering why you’re making no progress?

Do you try to build a career or business but find obstacles mounting up at each step you take?

Are you searching for answers on how to overcome the obstacles that get in the way of your achieving the life you want?  Well, you’ve come to the right place…these 5 staggeringly simple tips are just for you!

1. Achieve the life you want with a little self discipline

“Anyone who has ever made anything of importance was disciplined.” ~ Andrew Hendrixson

How well have you been committed to disciplining yourself?

It’s been said that “Only successful people understand that discipline is the gateway to the achievement of their goals”.

And lack of the quality of self-discipline or self-control is the biggest enemy to your success in life.

Self-discipline covers all aspect of your life, and once you get things right here, you’ll find yourself well on the way to achieving great things; this is because our habits control our daily lives. The ones we’ve cultivated over time, consciously and unconsciously.

Even if today, you’re willing to admit you’re a little lacking in the self-discipline arena…don’t fret…this can be overcome by shifting your habits.

The seeds of all progress are being planted today, in the new habits you determine to form.

Remember the tales of your life regularly come from overcoming those things that get in the way of your achieving the life you want.

Your successes will be given birth by the new you that appears as you begin to form new habits.  So don’t give up. Keep on keeping on, keep on learning, and most of all keep on moving forward.

Replacing bad habits with good ones is the answer to changing everything about your life.

It’s not too difficult to get started. Grab a pen and paper and jot down a list of the old habits that are the enemies of achievement and switch them out for the new ones you intend to keep.

Just make sure you don’t over do it to the point of throwing your hands up in the air because it’s all too overwhelming.  Just a couple at a time that you’re committed to keeping is all you need to begin.

2. Be focused on replacing the enemies of achievement

Most people start well but somehow along the way they get distracted, sadly some even fall further back than where they began.

Distractions are enemies of achievement and to overcome them you have to stay focused on what you want to accomplish.

Do not focus on your fears or on the negative things people around you are saying.

Get your priorities straight. Quit procrastinating.

Remind yourself why you started in the first place and start looking at the challenges to your achievement as your friends.  Friends that are going to help you through to the end.

3. Be humble

To some the saying “pride goes before a fall” has become clichéd, but the truth is it cannot be over-emphasized.

Pride and arrogance are great enemies of achievement.

Refusing to learn from others and acting like you know it all will only lead to your downfall.

There’s a fine line between confidence, which you should have, and arrogance, which isn’t attractive or helpful.

Replace arrogance with strength. Keep the faith and know that it will all be worth it in the end.

There’s never a need to look down on others, or where they are in life, or the path they’ve chosen to walk. Let humility be the ladder on which you climb to achieve success.

Bear in mind, the quickest route to your success is often helping another achieve theirs.

4. Show gratitude

Without a grateful attitude, your achievements are likely to mean nothing. Life responds favourably to those who respond well to life.

You must remember that gratitude is a higher vibration than desire…and if you forget or are ‘too busy’ to be grateful, you’ll discover the energy of success will wend its way towards someone with an energy that it can align with.

And you’ll be left with less and less experiences to be grateful for.

Gratitude is one of the most powerful forces in the universe and once you understand this you will be happier and have discovered the key to so many riches, both in your inner and outer world.

You must work more closely and frequently with gratitude and you’ll soon discover it acts as a catalyst to help you achieve your desires.

The challenge is it works in reverse too.  And without having gratitude, you are fighting an uphill battle.

5. Quit comparisons

Comparing your achievements and failures to the success of others may lead to resentment, frustration and no progress in your life.

Success may vary from day to day and it comes from watching yourself grow, being grateful for each step you take along the way, however small and remembering that no matter what someone else has achieved, persistence is one of the common attributes of high achievers.

You simply refuse to give up on your dreams, willingly learn from your mistakes and successes and the mistakes and successes of others, safe in the knowledge that the more your persist in following your dreams, the more likely you are to achieve them.

Everybody’s time will come; things will be much better if you see life this way.

“Don’t compare your life to others. There’s no comparison between the sun and the moon. They shine when it’s their time.”
