We all have ideas on how life should be.  And what’s supposed to happen.

Basically we just want to be happy.

And you know what I don’t care for much?

That life doesn’t always co-operate. And you end up with a clunky feeling in your gut.

You know that feeling when doom and gloom wash over you, and anxiety rears it’s ugly little head.

Then what do we do?

A key place to start, is to not let life’s difficult situations get the best of you.

The Dalai Lama said that the purpose of life is to be happy and that we develop this state of being from within.  

So it isn’t something we get, or something we seek…it’s something we develop, which takes practice. An inner practice.

It sounds harder than it is.  So I’m going to keep it really simple and share some easy ways you can let go of clunky feelings in your gut, shed anxiety and heal your life.

1. Practice releasing

When you begin to think that things just aren’t going to go your way, let it go.

I don’t mean let what you want go, I mean let go of the thoughts that things aren’t going to work out for you. Or things never work out for you. Or things work out for everyone else, but not you.

These are the thoughts that bring up those clunky feelings in your gut and you can’t shed anxiety when you’re mind is focused on things not working.

Life is a process of patterns. And old patterns of thoughts keep you in old vibrations of energy, with old things continuing to show up.

Since everything in your outer world is just a reflection of your inner world, it’s time for a mindset shift..

2. Don’t react in emotional haste

Far too often we find ourselves reacting to situations from those old patterns.  It’s become our way of being in the world.

So give yourself self space to allow that new mindset to set. Otherwise you’re operating with jello, jiggling from the new pattern back to the old. 

And since life can only ever be as good as your mindset, it’s a good idea to keep it in the most positive place possible!

The best way to do this is to take yourself out of a situation.  Sometimes you just have to take a step back before you can move forward.

Don’t keep arguing with life.

Accept whatever is happening now as though you had chosen it and you’ll begin to see everything with new eyes, and what seemed like really bad news with your old mindset, might actually prove to be filled with opportunities when you look at it through your more positive one.

Beautiful things happen when you do this…and you’ll find it easier to shed anxiety.

3. Cherish the goodness in life

However life has turned out for you so far, be grateful you still have one.

Tomorrow brings you new opportunities and new strengths. And hopefully a new mindset that no longer jiggles!

It’s never impossible to get over situations that you wish had never happened.

In my life I’ve been in situations that were absolutely awful and horrific, and what I ended up with was a most amazing future.

So don’t be too alarmed when life isn’t working out the way you wanted it to, because you have the power to alter the course you’re on.

4. Apply your hidden power

Within you is the power to shed anxiety about whatever might be coming at you around the corner. Truth be told you, dear heart, are more powerful than whatever situation you find yourself in.

Because ultimately, everything is determined by your consciousness.  And your consciousness is capable of raising you above all experiences.

Turn to consciousness and change the course of your life by reminding yourself every day:

“I am in charge of my happiness.  I will not let anything outside of myself control me. I am creating a life that feels good on the inside and it will turn into experiences that are good on the outside.”

As you correct the inside, you’ll be amazed at how easily things on the outside start to fall into place.

You can do it. Remember every time you smile at a situation…you win!

I use a couple of drops on my wrists and away I go.

That clunky feeling in my my gut is given the boot with only a couple of drops.  And using such a small amount, one tiny bottle lasts a long, long time.
