I love America. I love the small Florida town where we live. I love the hospitality of the American people, especially to those of us from other lands. I love small town events that lift my spirits. I love my life. If I sound happy, it’s because I AM.
Last night my Darling One and some friends went to The 38th Annual Singing Christmas tree here in small town USA.
But first we went here, where we had a delicious dinner. Gluten free for me and my gluten, and then some, on my D.O’s plate. I’m so jealous…the chocolate mousse looked good enough…well to eat.
Used Hipstamatic to create a little atmosphere. What do you think?
And then…
The Singing Christmas Tree.
The first time I saw this I was bowled over…I’d never seen anything like it before. And I found it totally lovely. Lovely to enough to attend every year when we’re in town. I love singing carols, I love listening to carols…it makes me feel soo good.
Apparently someone came up with the idea of a Christmas Tree filled with a chorus way back in 1933. And still I’d never heard nor seen them. Fancy that!
And as if my heart wasn’t filled with enough joy and gladness then I saw this:
And my heart filled up again. Five year old’s can do that to you.
How much joy can one person stand?
Don’t you just love the “I am very good”.
If you have Singing Chrismas Trees in your town I would encourage you to go and have your heart filled with joy and happiness.
As Grandma used to tell me, if there’s something stronger than happiness out there, tell me about it, hen, I need to pour myself one.
Encourage each other.
Elle.
