Many people are stuck getting the same things over and over, and I’m here to tell you a lot of people are stuck.  

Far too many folk got the same results this past year as the one before.  It may fluctuate a bit but not much.

Sound familiar?

It isn’t that people don’t have goals, or don’t want to head in another direction…they just don’t know how. 

But mostly they’re stuck because they don’t know where they are.

Physically they know…they’re in a field or on a street or on a farm but mentally they don’t know where they are.  Or why they keep getting the same results.

It’s because they don’t understand they have to control the flow of thought energy so that it improves everything with which it connects. 

We are and always will be where our thoughts take us. Far too many people are unaware of where they are because they are so used to their thought patterns it all seems normal.

But my darlings, if you’re continuing to get results you don’t want and end up in experiences you don’t want…it’s not normal.

You were designed to grow, not stagnate

You’re a walking dynamo (I kid you not) you just don’t know how to direct it.

Today, why not take a step forward and get rid of those habits of thinking and feeling that hurt you.  That hurt your health, happiness. That keep you stuck and limit and discourage you from experiencing your best and greatest life.

Your mental programming your habitual thoughts and feelings are controlling your behavior and so control your results. And it takes no more time to think and feel happiness than it does to do the opposite.

The sad fact is, it  doesn’t matter how hard you work or how many hours you put in, if your mental programming doesn’t change, the results remain the same…this is how life has worked  for most of us, for most of the time.

So how do we control the flow of thought energy?  Great question.

There are certain disciplines and outlooks on life that you need to understand before you awaken to unsticking yourself.

As Einstein said, “Out of clutter, find simplicity; from discord, find harmony; in the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity.”

Remember the daily routine of habits, thoughts and feelings become our programme that has us currently being in that stuck spot. You don’t have to live like this any longer.

So why not start with:

Staying Positive

When you learn how to stay positive everything in life improves.

Why do you suppose that is? 

Basically because if you’re not feeling positive you’re likely to be feeling negative. If you’re not going in one direction you’re going in another. 

Everything in this universe comes with an opposite.  Up down. Ignorance knowledge. Hot cold. Positive/ negative.

Staying positive means staying in a vibration that causes you to feel good, to keep growing.  

And it doesn’t happen by accident.  Most of the positive people you know are this way because they have a great attitude to life. Consciously or unconsciously they regulate the way they feel and the inner conversations they have with themselves.

Course I’m not speaking of those who are living with clinical depression…or any physiological issue that’s another matter altogether, and not one I’m qualified to speak about.

But staying positive for the rest of us is mostly about our mental attitudes.

We know we CAN get there.  You’ve  been there before, probably many times.  It’s the staying there, regardless of what’s happening in life or who tries to bring you down that can be your greatest problem.

So you veer of track every now and then…no biggie you can get back on track pretty quickly once you decide first that you can do this and second that you choose to do this.

How can I keep it going you might be asking, especially when life has been so tough and I’m just stuck.

Harvesting the good 

Don’t underestimate this. Begin keeping an eye open for what’s good, it’s there.

Stop listening to those who take pleasure in finding out what’s wrong with things. Any fool can do that.  And you my darlings are no fools. 

It takes energy and focus to think of what’s right. To feel good.

Be confident that your feeling is simple telling you of the vibration you’re in – positive feelings equal good vibration –  negative feelings not so much.

When you’re positive you can become a magnet for good by staying there. Don’t ask others for permission to be this way, or apologize for wanting to be in a vibration that gets you unstuck and on the path to a more fulfilling, meaningful life.  It’s nobody’s business but your own.

And then here’s a key to the whole shebang. 

Repetition is a great way to unstick yourself when you feel stuck

Learn to use the power of repetition…it not only helps with keeping you positive, but it will have an incredible impact on your future.

For instance…think about your life now, versus how you’d like it to be.  

What’s happened in the past is done.  It’s today and tomorrow we’re looking at. And growth. Growth is a normal part of life’s rich pattern.

And to grow we have to change.  We can’t stay where we are and get different results.

Sometimes we earn a little but owe a lot…we want different results.

Sometimes everything that can go wrong does…we want things to start to go right.

Using repetition not only can help you get into a positive vibration and stay there it can honestly change your life.

The first things to know

 Know where you are and know where you’re going.

Simplistic?  Maybe..but sometimes we overlook the obvious don’t we? 

And once we know where we are, we can get moving in the direction of where we want to go. What’s the point of climbing that ladder of life only to discover when you get to the top it was leaning against the wrong wall.

And the first step to understand is I’m not talking about the physical world as our first port of call.  Actions will follow.  The starting point for all things in life is within, that inner creative world that everyone occupies.

We’re definitely not trying to change the outer reality before we’ve changed the inner.  To do that, we’re fighting against nature herself. And we won’t win. Not to mention it’s exhausting.

There are two inner ways that repetition will quickly change your direction

The constant repetition of ideas that are essentially opposite to your current programming will change your life.  Be they mantras, affirmations, or whatever resonates with your heart.

The other way is the personal experience of an emotional impact.  But this is hard and we don’t want to go that route.

For instance when my husband died many years ago…the emotional impact was huge.  And out of the experience of his illness and loss came a big change in programming for me.

The things I believed changed, the things I said to myself changed, the way I felt changed.

Repetition is a much easier, gentler and kinder way to change your signature vibration and stop being stuck where you were.

And sometimes we’ll fall by the wayside or forget how repetition creates a positive life force in our world.  And. That’s. Okay.

Determine that this year you’ll be continuously switching up the old repetitive programming that’s not going to help you move forward

My darling one and I are constantly working on upgrading our programming.

We’re currently reading a book (we’re always reading one book or another)…and we’ve been reading the same chapter since November.

We’ve also been immersed in writing a book which means writing and re-writing…both of these things are having a huge impact on our consciousness, on our programming so that we can virtually see it changing before our very eyes.

Believe me, it’s cool stuff.

We love this because we know this is how programming changes.  

Why this kind of repetition matters

The reason we read or listen to the same thing over and over is because our minds wander.  

Have you ever noticed when reading something over and over one day you notice something you never saw before.  Or it didn’t resonate with you…until it did.  

It’s because our mind wanders.  We bring it back to what we’re engaged in, but nevertheless it’s easy to miss things.

And sometimes an idea you’ve seen or heard hits your mind and you keep reading but your mind is caught up with that idea. You’re off on another thought track. And you miss the next few words or paragraphs.

Has that ever happened to you?

Let’s suppose you come back to the book again…what are the odds of you stopping at the same idea and getting off track…not really that high.  

So you get emotionally involved with a different idea on the next read and another one on the next.  

Through this kind of repetition everything in your life can change.

And once I worked this out for myself, over a really long period of time, I just wanted to share these ideas that I’d learned with others…and that’s why I started my blog and that’s why there’s a book in the works.  Stay tuned!

The repetition of hearing or reading the same thing over and over again changes everything in you, which changes everything outside of you.

That’s why so many families follow in their parents, grandparents and great grandparents footsteps.  They’ve been programmed by the things they constantly heard.

That’s how we learn language or mathematical tables.  Repetition.

Make a decision today that you’re going to use repetition to change yourself.  You’ll gain incredible knowledge, gain new perspectives and build a new model of ideas that you’ve become emotionally involved with. And not only that you’ll soon begin to see it’s a simple way to get un-stuck.

You’ll be amazed at how many new opportunities come your way…opportunities that might have been there all the time, but you couldn’t see them, because we only get to see the contents of our consciousness.  

And your consciousness was filled with old programs giving you the same results over and over.

Buckminster Fuller said you never change things by fighting the existing reality. You change things by building a new model that makes the old one obsolete.

That’s what repetition does for you.  That’s how you can stay positive even when the rest of the world is filled with negativity.

It helps you figure out how to live the life you want.  How to stay positive. How to create your own environment and decree your own destiny.

Never stop studying.  Never stop learning. Never stop growing.  This is how you stay positive.

And remember dear ones, you really can have everything you want, relationships, career, financial freedom…everything can be yours, not for the taking but for the receiving.  Your new world is waiting.

  1. I like this advice, Elle. Repetition, even small habits repeated with consistency, will also rewire your brain over time and make the new habit easier. Buckminster Fuller was right. Nothing is going to change by fighting the old. Progress is forward. Thank you for the reminder.

    • So true Debbie. Mystics have known for centuries of the benefits of repetition and it’s great that science has caught up and offered the doubting Thomas’s amongst us some evidence of this. 🙂

  2. Elle, I love your emphasis on repetition. That’s what it takes. I have a “good things” list and add at least one item each day. In terms of being positive, I’m especially doing my best to remember I am loving awareness! Thanks for these great tips and your gentle encouragement.
